About DEREK.
Derek Anthony Purcell didn't arrive in London with connections or a plan. He arrived in 2008 with ambition, very little money and the kind of stubbornness that either breaks you or builds something.
What he built was BANG London, a creative studio that became one of the most respected names in performance fashion without ever chasing the spotlight. While the names on the stage got the headlines, Derek was behind the scenes constructing the looks that made those moments iconic. Beyoncé. Kylie Minogue. Christina Aguilera. Kate Moss. Rita Ora. Girls Aloud. Little Mix. Lizzo. The work spoke for itself because it had to.
In 2025, Derek walked away from everything he had built in London and relocated to Málaga, Spain. He knew almost nobody. He had to start again with no safety net.
DerekAnthonyPurcell.com is what came next. Not a relaunch. Not a rebrand. A beginning — one that carries the weight of everything that came before it while finally putting his name on the door.
The work hasn't changed. The name on it has.
BANG LONDON.
Founded in London, BANG London began as an independent performance wear label before evolving into one of the industry's most trusted creative studios — specialising in custom costumes, stage wear and bespoke fashion built for the world's biggest moments.
Over nearly two decades, the studio worked across music, television, live performance and editorial, creating garments worn by international artists, dancers and performers around the world. The work was never loud about itself. It didn't need to be.
BANG London is the foundation everything else was built on. Derek Anthony Purcell Studio is what it grew into.
